Ricky Ibarra

Ricky Ibarra has a well diversified professional experience in the finance industry from a 22-year old starting his own brick-and-mortar tax consulting office in Capitola, CA in 2012, to working in alliance to a derivatives and fixed income trading desk exchanging $6 billion per day in marketable securities for Goldman Sachs. With his hard work ethics, passion for finance, and motivation for success, he initially founded RixShield Capital in 2014 and relaunched in Jan. 2020 with the intention to assist minorities to generate wealth and lead small business owners to scalability while maintaining profitability. 


Ricky currently manages a combined book value greater or equal to $810,000 in investments under management. With his strategic and discipline approach to investing, he has managed to successfully outperform the S&P 500 by a CAGR of 19% per year since 2011 and has invested in several small businesses with a 98% repayment rate. 


Recent Accomplishments:

  • Built Automated workflows to replace continuous and repetitive work streams to eliminate 56 hours per day of committed full time employees in less than 2 months. - Cost savings of $705,000 per year. 
  • Codified a semi-automated tool to extract live pricing on mortgage backed securities (MBS) driving over $2 million in trade adjustments per month using a Bloomberg Terminal.
  • Designed the UI and UX model for WeFlutter.com Mobile App. 
  • Reduced operational overhead by $670,000 per year in 6 months to improve bottom line Gross Margins. 
  • Consulted and launched a brick-and-mortar financial consulting practice that generated over $500,000 in revenue in the first year of operations.
